The Elven King's Captive

Fated Elves, Book 1

An omega elven king finds his alpha. Unfortunately, he’s human.

Casersis Ardal, the former Sun King, is a First Generation elf of over three million years. He meets his match in Dustin Juniper, a twenty-year-old human construction worker.

Dustin has been in charge of his whole life since he was sixteen. But when he meets Casersis, destiny strips all his control away. His body, his heart, his whole world change when he comes into contact with a magical amulet and starts changing species. And falling in love with an ageless elven king makes him question everything.

Casersis has been alone on earth for millennia. Having a burgeoning elf around brings feelings he isn’t comfortable with. But he can’t let Dustin go. If the humans find out Dustin isn’t human, Dustin would become a science experiment. The only option Casersis has is to keep Dustin captive. He must protect Dustin from himself as the young man fights Casersis—and fate—every step of the way.

If they want to be together, Casersis and Dustin must find a way to compromise. Once in a lifetime takes on new meaning when you live forever.

This 73,000-word non-shifter omegaverse novel is set in a world where mpreg (male pregnancy) is a fact of life, however this series does not end with a baby or pregnancy.

Cover Reveal Exclusive Excerpt:

I snatched my hands out of my pockets, thrust them out before me to regain my balance. Tried to stop my forward momentum. Just as I thought I’d eat the limo driver’s elbow, and possibly the sidewalk, my palms met a well-muscled chest covered in the softest fabric I’d ever touched, and something cold and tingly pressed into the fingers of my right hand.

The man caught me by the biceps and gently righted me, as if I wasn’t street scum, as if I hadn’t just tried to plow the man down. He waited until I had my balance, and when I looked up into the man’s startling blue eyes, I gasped. My wits finally returned to me, and I nearly vomited the apology, “I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going.”

The man narrowed his eyes as if he heard the lie in my voice. But he said, “It’s all right. I remained where I was so you wouldn’t sprawl straight onto the floor of my car.” His voice was as silky and deep as a calm ocean. It flowed over me and left a pleasant tingle in its wake. Concern and something else I couldn’t name shone in the man’s intense blue eyes. “Are you all right?”

I shivered, both from the autumn chill and from the smoky quality of the man’s sensual voice. My right hand started to burn, and I cradled it against my chest as I replied, “I don’t know how, but I think I burned my fingers on something.” I knew it was impossible, but my fingers hurt.

With a tender touch, the man teased my hand out of my death grip and tickled my fingers until I reluctantly unclenched my fist. As he examined them, he lightly brushed the pads of his fingers over my calluses and tutted to himself. “It does not appear to be a burn, but you are, indeed, injured.”

Great.

Something dark flashed in the man’s eyes when he looked back up at me. He didn’t let go of my hand, but his grip remained gentle. Firm enough to keep me from pulling away, but he wasn’t being forceful. Yet.

I stared at my hand in his as the ridges of the man’s necklace appeared on my fingers as if I were branded by it. And as the design completed, the world tilted.

Everything spun. The bright streetlights and setting sun dimmed, and the world went black. I fell, or could feel myself falling, but before I hit the ground, strong arms caught me and the last thing I felt before darkness completely overtook me was being cradled against the beautiful man’s soft-as-clouds sweater and his breath tickling my ear as his voice echoed around me, “All will be well, young one. Come back to me.”

And I wished I could.

“Come back to me,” his voice echoed.

About the Author:

I’m a mother, furbaby spoiler, and a girl who can’t get enough of pretty, pretty boys. As a kid, I traveled the world, too young to appreciate the gift I was given, but now those adventures spur on stories that my brain just can’t keep up with. Well, my brain tells me it keeps up just fine, but my fingers are the slow ones. I’ll let you decide. But the boys, man. The boys I remember make my heart sizzle looking back on them. Being a kid at nude beaches, I never cared, but looking back on those memories of Sicily, WHEW! There are some really great childhood images that I wish I could have been an adult to savor.Home is some place I call “rustic”. I’m used to large cities, stores everywhere, gas stations on every corner. Here in rural Pennsylvania, it’s rustic and beautiful. And quiet. Too quiet. With all this quiet, all there is to do is write stories, and let the hot men in my head out to play. We all benefit, yes? I like this development. The only thing I dislike about this rusticness is the fact I can’t find a coffee shop that sells a proper chai latte. They make it from powder. Ew. This makes for a disgruntled Dev. Ugh. I miss my chai.

Most of all, I am a down-to-earth southern girl at heart from spending 16 years in Florida. If you chat with me, you’ll hear endearments like darlin’, sweetheart, and hon/hun/hunnie. It’s who I am, and if we chat, you’re almost instantly family, so get used to it.

Breakyou

They’re in a war for control of the streets, but love will be the ultimate prize.

Here comes trouble…

Men. Women. Drugs. Dima Zhirkov’s favorite things. Add in the element of danger and he should be right as rain. But not today. It’s not working, hasn’t for a long time. He’s grasping at the flimsiest of straws to prove he’s indeed strong enough to run his streets. Until he sets eyes on him. In the midst of a room full of strangers, Dima is drawn to a man as cold and dangerous as he is beautiful. Captivated, Dima embarks on a ruthless campaign to get his new toy into bed.

Here comes the danger…

Xavier “X” Storm is content to pull the strings while someone else handles the day to day dealings of his gang, The Rude Boys. He’s after what Dima holds closest—the Coney Island streets. He contracts out the job of killing the Russian, except Dima isn’t that easy to kill. When he suddenly shows up in X’s path, tempting him to indulge in the dirtiest play, he finds Dima isn’t all that easy to shake, either. His cocky attitude and rough submission tempt X to go where he’d vowed to never return, and they plunge headfirst into an affair fueled by possessive obsession.

He doesn’t see that X is breaking him down, giving Dima everything he wants and even more than he ever thought to need. By the time he realizes who X is and what he wants, Dima is raw and bullet-riddled. It’s run or fight. And Dima doesn’t back down. Neither does X.

Excerpt from (Watch Me) Break You

“You haven’t asked my name. Why don’t you tell me yours and I’ll reciprocate.”

Cold eyes regarded him steadily. “Xavier Storm.”

Dima caught his bottom lip between his teeth, worrying the piercing there. “Xavier,” he murmured. “What do your friends call you?”

“Are we friends?”

“We’re a lot of things.” Dima winked. “Getting to be more by the minute.”

For a second there he thought Xavier was going to roll his eyes, but he just said, “X. My friends call me X.”

Dima grabbed his arm and pulled him close, their chests touching. “Xavier, it’s a pleasure. Really. I’m Dima Zhirkov.” He dropped his gaze from Xavier’s expressionless face to his lips. They needed biting in the worst way.

“I want your emotions,” Dima whispered. “That control you keep a tight rein on, the power you work so hard to conceal. I want you to unleash it on me. All of it. And I want to watch your face when you do, when you let it all go. For me.” Xavier stiffened against him; it felt as if the other man had stopped breathing. Dima tightened his hold, not willing to risk letting Xavier out of arm’s length for an instant.

“You’ve got the wrong guy, if that’s what you want.” Xavier’s voice was scratchy, full of static.

Dima tilted his head back, meeting Xavier’s gaze. “Yeah? You think so?”

“I know so.” Xavier was gone, yanking out of Dima’s hold effortlessly, opening the door and stepping outside.

Dima raced after him. “You must want to put me in my place,” he said breathlessly as Xavier hurried to his car parked in Savannah’s fenced-in driveway. “Show me who’s in charge.”

“You’ve got the gun, you’re in charge.” Xavier didn’t look at Dima as he pulled out his keys.

“No.” Dima grabbed his shoulder, turning him around and stalling Xavier’s movement. “You. I want you. Your belt, my skin. Your hands. On me.”

(Watch Me) Body You

Denial only lasts so long…eventually the heart wins out

What if loving him…

After recent events that had his life flashing before his eyes, Israel Storm is re-evaluating everything. His friends. His priorities. What’s not going to change is the deep connection he’s developed with Reggie Turner. They’re comfortable with each other, partners in crime with no qualms about sharing women. Whatever Is needs, Reggie is the one he calls. Their bond can survive anything. But maybe not the kiss Reggie plants on him out of nowhere.

Means losing him?

Despite what Is thinks, that kiss came from somewhere. An un-named current has been flowing between them for months. Reggie doesn’t bat for his own team, but the more time he spends with Is, seeing past the rough façade of the man leading The Rude Boys, the more Reggie loses sight of labels and where he fits. All he knows is there’s something there, something Is will never acknowledge. One kiss leads to a punch that lands Reggie in the ER, and sends Is digging through his darkest memories in search of himself.

Friendship is all that’s left if they bury the truth. If they ignore the pull that makes it impossible to do anything other than fight. But denials can be exhausting and hiding isn’t working, not when everyone can clearly see your heart’s desire. An enemy is out to make an example of Is and his weapon of choice will leave this Rude Boy bloodied…and bodied.

Excerpt from The Bridge Of Silver Wings

Nikolas had forgotten how quickly kissing always swelled desires that couldn’t be satisfied in public.  But the need this time, and after the shock he’d received, was more urgent than usual.  He glanced around the dark, underground space and pushed Ben into a shadowed corner.  After a while, though, he held Ben off, reluctantly, his face stinging from stubble, knowing Ben’s would be too.

“I don’t like you in this job either, Ben.  I’m jealous of the people you meet, and what I know they want from you.  We’re not saints, either of us, and the temptations put in front of you are exceptional now.  I understand that.”

Ben kissed into Nikolas’s neck, one of Ben’s favourite places, where, Ben told him, he always smelt so incredibly good.

“I’m not tempted.”  He shook Nikolas a little to make his point.  “That’s exactly what I’m trying to say.  I never have been since I met you.”  Ben gave his neck a little nip.

“Maybe it’s because I’m scared you’re going to kill me if I fuck someone else.”

Nikolas laughed ruefully.  “Yes. I apologise for that comment.  I was…upset.  What are you doing?”

Ben tapped him reprovingly on the nose.

“After all these years you still haven’t worked out what I’m doing when I do this?”  Nikolas closed his eyes and swayed as Ben found and released his cock.

Then he shook his head.  “Not in here.  I draw the line, Benjamin.”  He stilled Ben’s hand and readjusted his clothing.

“Come.  We’ll talk more about this later.  Perhaps things do need to change again.”  Ben grunted with thwarted desire but began to walk back to the car.  Nikolas caught his arm.

“One thing, I’m not bored with you.”

He clearly could have elaborated, but it wasn’t in his nature, wasn’t his inclination, to talk about things.  Nikolas preferred to do; as soon as he got Ben home, he indulged his preference.  He took Ben as soon as they came in through the red door, pushing him to the floor of the hallway.  He kissed him all through their shower and then, in bed, gave Ben his body, and when Ben was fully sated, Nikolas rose over him again and possessed him one more time, until their flesh was almost seared with the other, melted together.  Only then, when neither could have raised a flag for another round, let alone the necessary equipment, Nikolas whispered softly into the back of Ben’s neck,

“I thought you were leaving me.”  Sometimes, he avowed things in the dark he couldn’t say in the brighter, more critical light of day.

Ben rolled over to face him, pulling the covers higher over their shoulders.

“Do you know, sometimes I wish we’d never taken off those handcuffs.  That everywhere I go you’d have to come, too, because you’d be attached to me and couldn’t get away.  That’s what I feel, Nik.  You’re moving away from me.  Why didn’t you talk to me about Russia?  Why can’t I come, too?  Jesus, I sound like a whiny baby.  I hate what you’ve turned me into.  This obsession I have with you isn’t normal.”  Nikolas stroked thoughtfully over Ben’s cheekbone with the pad of his thumb as he listened to Ben’s attempt to sound rational. Ben stilled the hand.

“Do you remember what you told me once, that when you were a boy on Aeroe no one liked you because you were so wild, so different?”

Nikolas nodded. “I was beaten continually, but it never made any difference.”

“Why not?”

“I don’t understand what you mean.  Why should I change to suit other people’s inadequacy?”

“Jesus, Nik, you were just a boy.  How could you’ve been so sure of yourself?  It’s not normal. What if they hadn’t disliked you; what if they’d loved you and what you did hurt them?  Maybe no one could understand why you constantly did things that hurt them.  Everyone I spoke with on Aeroe loved you more than Nikolas, but you drove them to distraction, pushed them away with your refusal to compromise.  Do you see what I’m saying?  There’s a fine line between love and hate, obsession and loathing.”

“You’re saying your obsession, as you so flatteringly put it, will turn to loathing unless I take you to Russia with me.”

“Oh, you’re the very devil when you’re in this mood.”

“What?  I’m in a very good mood now.  You’re not leaving me, and I’m your obsession.  Oh, and you paid for dinner, for once.”

“It’s never going to be how I want it between us though, is it?”

“You’d want us just like this all day and all night, wouldn’t you?  Be honest, Ben.”

Ben sighed and rolled onto his back.

“Yes. I guess I would.”

“Would you allow us to leave the bed to eat?”

“You’d be handcuffed to me, remember?  So we’d have to leave together.”

“That would make pissing interesting.”  Nikolas began to trail his fingers around from Ben’s chest down to his belly button and up again.

Nikolas Mikkelsen could make a very long list of unpleasant things he’s endured in his life.  Then order it from ‘nearly killed me’ to ‘extremely horrific and don’t want to do again’.  And what did it say about his forty-five years that being hit by a tsunami would be a considerable way down this list?  But nothing, not torture, imprisonment, nor starvation has prepared him for what he now has to endure for Ben Rider’s sake-attendance on a residential, gay therapy course.  At least he has a new contender for the top spot on his ‘my awful life’ list.

A Good Bad Idea Story, Book 6

Felix Murphy

My friend’s hot older brother agrees to play tour guide for me in Paris, so I know I’m in for the trip of a lifetime. The best part is that Arsène is a shameless flirt who gives my vivid imagination all kinds of naughty ideas. My lack of a filter always gets me into trouble, but at least this time it’s the fun kind.

Going home alone with a broken heart as a souvenir would suck. I’d rather return to America with a gorgeous French boyfriend instead.

Arsène Devereaux

When I agreed to babysit my younger brother’s American friend, he warned me not to break Felix’s heart. I never expected to be the one in danger of falling in love. But Felix is a cute and charming smart-ass, which is an irresistible combination to me.

If he offers to play tour guide next, I just might follow him across the ocean in search of a happily ever after.

Picture Love is the sixth book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a brother’s best friend, age gap, instalove romance. Full of cute sweetness and sexy fun, every story ends with a satisfying HEA and no cliffhangers. Each book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series in order.

Excerpt:

Arsène Devereaux

“This was amazing, even though you ordered escargot to gross me out,” Felix said with a knowing grin. “The joke’s on you because I loved it.”

“I was merely attempting to expand your culinary horizons.”

“Uh-huh, sure. You totally didn’t order it because you wanted to feel superior to me being too American to eat snails.” He snorted in amusement.

“Perhaps it was a test to determine how adventurous you are.”

He rested his chin on his hand while giving me a flirtatious look. It did nothing to abate my desire to add my bedroom as a stop on our Paris tour. “That seems like a strange method to judge how adventurous I am in bed. Is there some French expression about eating snails meaning you’re into kinky stuff that I’m unaware of?”

Rather than answer, I drank my wine. “You are quite the tease, Monsieur Felix.”

“Oh, and you’re not?” He scoffed. “Please, you’re a bigger flirt than my roommate, North.”

“What can I say? I enjoy living life to the fullest.”

“And I love getting into trouble, so it sounds like we might have some real fun together.” He raised his wineglass in a toast to me.

“I will do whatever I can to ensure your stay here is enjoyable.” I clinked my glass against his, and we both took a sip in celebration.

His cheeky grin once again made me regret not bringing my camera. “Including giving me a personal guided tour of your bedroom? I’m pretty sure that’s going above and beyond what’s necessary.”

“Perhaps it is unnecessary, but it would be pleasurable.” It became more and more tempting the longer I spent with him. His playfulness brought out that side of me which had gone into hiding because of how hard I worked without a break. I used to relax by indulging in beautiful men, but even that had lost its charm at some point. Felix was something entirely new and different.

“Don’t tempt me,” he warned with a laugh. “You’re way too hot for me to put up anything but the barest resistance before I give in to you.”

“Then I guess it is a good thing that the idea of you giving yourself to me brings me great pleasure. I would take excellent care of you.”

There was a slight flush in his cheeks that had nothing to do with the wine he was drinking. “Oh, I’m sure of it.”

“Your wish is my command.”

I did not expect him to crack up at that. “Don’t say that. It makes you sound like a sex genie who will grant my wildest wishes in bed if I rub you the right way—and I’m not talking about your lamp.”

It was impossible to restrain myself from chuckling along with him. “Then that is good, since it is not my lamp I would wish you to rub.”

He took a huge gulp of wine. “I’m warning you: if you keep teasing me, I’m going to get the wrong impression.”

“I disagree. It sounds like you are getting the right idea.”

“You’re not interested in me, though.”

I gave him a sensual look that made him flush to the tips of his ears. “Do not be so certain of that.”

“Oh, lord.” He finished his drink in a long swig. “I’m not sure if I’m going to survive five days of your teasing.”

“Be brave, mon ami. The fun is only getting started.” And I had every intention of having the best time possible.

After my bachelor party, I expected to wake up with a hangover. I never imagined I’d wake up in bed with a husband two days before my actual wedding. Realizing I’m straight and married to my best man sobers me up real fast. But nothing could have prepared me for discovering I desperately want to consummate my marriage with my best friend and spend the rest of my life with him.

What are the odds that my bad idea ends up being the best thing to ever happen to us?

Lucien “Luci” St. Amour

Rhys may legally be my husband now, but that doesn’t mean he’s mine to love and cherish for the rest of our lives. We’ll get an annulment, then go back to being just best friends. But all those feelings I’ve suppressed since we shared our first kiss as teenagers have been stirred up, forcing me to confront the fact that I wish our marriage was more than a mistake.

How do I tell my best friend I want a second chance to be his husband for real?

Book 2: Love Means More

Love Means More Large Logo

Ambrose O’Rourke

I’ve dropped at least 1,846,957 hints that I want to be more than Augie’s best friend. Despite my best efforts, my reputation as a straight playboy means he’s not picking up what I’m putting down. If I’m going to win his heart, I’ve got to get creative.

Maybe if I show him what an awesome fake boyfriend I am, he’ll want me to be his real one?

August “Augie” Murphy

Secretly being in love with your straight friend sucks. Secretly being in love with your straight friend who won’t quit flirting with you really sucks. When Ambrose suggests we go on a fake double date as boyfriends, the temptation is too much to resist. Even if we’re only pretending for one night, I want to know what it’s like to be loved by him.

Is it possible to turn my fake boyfriend for a night into my real one forever?

Love Means More is the second book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a friends to lovers, fake boyfriends, bisexual awakening romance. Book 3: Love Means More

Callum O’Rourke

A twenty-year-old like me doesn’t stand a chance with an older playboy like Rune. Yet despite being total opposites, I’m lucky enough to call him my friend. Anything more than that would be greedy, but that doesn’t stop me from wishing he would teach me how to satisfy the passionate desire I feel for him. All of my fantasies are about experiencing my first time with him.

Could I be lucky enough that it happens for real?

Rune Tourneau

The only relationships I used to be interested in were meaningless hookups with no strings attached. But Callum’s kindness touched a part of my heart I didn’t know existed, changing me forever. I desperately want him, but he deserves to be cherished by someone who thinks true love is real and isn’t a jaded thirty-year-old like me.

Can he really turn a sceptic like me into someone who believes we could have a romantic happy ever after together?

Fancy Love is the third book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a grumpy/sunshine, age gap, first time, opposites attract romance. Book 4: Love Fool

Love Fool 1800x2700

Xander Dandridge

Everybody thinks my best friend is in love with me, including my cheating ex-boyfriend. When I have to see that jerk at my boss’s wedding, bringing Jules as my fake date is the perfect revenge. But why stop there? After all, if everyone is going to accuse Jules and I of being together, why shouldn’t we enjoy ourselves as friends-with-benefits?

Ohhhh, it’s because our arrangement makes me fall in love with him for real. Oops?

Jules Tourneau

I’ve ignored my feelings for Xander so many years that I’m convinced I only love him as a friend. It’s totally a coincidence that thinking of him with his awful ex-boyfriend makes me burn with raging hellfire, right? When we’re fake dating, I’m obviously going to have fun teasing him with obnoxiously cutesy nicknames, like calling him my pookie—crap, I’m actually in love with Xander, aren’t I?

How do you tell your best friend, “Surprise! I just figured out I’ve been stupid in love with you forever,” without sounding like the world’s biggest idiot?

Love Fool is the fourth book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a friends to lovers, fake boyfriends, banter-filled romance. Full of cute sweetness and sexy fun, every story ends with a satisfying HEA and no cliffhangers. Each book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series in order.

Book 5: Love Directions

Love Directions 1800x2700Elias Forthwright

Horoscopes always seemed a bit woo-woo to me, but I don’t know how else to explain why it feels like supernatural influences brought the mysterious North Easton into my life at just the right time. We’re nothing alike, but for the first time since my mom passed away, life is finally fun again thanks to him.

Even though we just met, it would be stupid to run away from love when all signs point to him being the one, right?

North Easton

I’ve always been a lust at first sight kind of a guy, but Elias makes me rethink everything I know about love. It seems like our romance was written in the stars, especially since his horoscope predicted I would become the greatest love of his life.

There’s just one tiny problem: he doesn’t know that I actually write the horoscopes he believes brought us together. Do I tell him the truth or let him keep being a believer?

Love Directions is the fifth book in the Good Bad Idea series. This novel features a love at first sight, mistaken identity, opposites attract romance with some amusing cosmic coincidences from the great beyond. Full of cute sweetness and sexy fun, every story ends with a satisfying HEA and no cliffhangers. Each book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series in order.

Change of Hearts, Book Three

Falling for the professor wasn’t part of my plan…

From the moment the man walked into the bar, I knew he was still in the closet. But that didn’t stop us from sharing an incredible night together.

Our easy, one-night hookup went from no-strings-attached to a tangled mess on the first day of the semester, when I locked eyes with the mystery man from the bar… who also happens to be my new Art History professor.

Lucas Mathiasson is everywhere I turn and the harder we try to resist, the closer we’re pulled together. Until our weekend in Vegas. Then all bets – and rules – are off.

But lessons in love can’t be taught from a syllabus. They have to be experienced.

And not all love is easy. Not all rules are meant to be broken. And not all men are created to live life in the open.

Falling for my professor wasn’t part of the plan… but how do you let go of the man who taught you how to love?

Special Release Excerpt:

Change of Course excerpt by Sierra Hill (copyright 2021 Ten28 Publishing LLC): I lean over the edge, my belly and hip scraping over the marbled counter, and push my mouth next to his ear. Oh man, he smells incredible. A crisp soapy scent mixed with expensive cologne. Probably French. Definitely not the cheap over-the-counter shit I usually get lungful’s of in this place on any given night. Nah, this man is high class and far too above the fray in here. Which means I can’t help but find a way to fluster the shit out of him. “You know, if you want it even dirtier, I can do that for you. I’m really good at making it dirty.” I slink back off the counter, tucking the edge of my shirt back down where it had risen over my belly, showing off my sleek abs and skin. I lick my lips enticingly and step back. Apparently, Mr. Put-Together got a nice view of my stomach before I covered it back up because I notice the twitch of his fingers and the tightening of his jaw. Without meaning to, I burst out laughing, waving my hand in the air at him. “Oh my God, dude. You should see yourself right now. Did I just insult your tender sensibilities with my innuendo?” In a flash, he jerks his shoulders back with righteous indignation. “No,” he scoffs, rolling his eyes. “I was just trying to figure out if you meant the drink or something else.” Once again, I bend over the counter, my elbows pinched tight to my ribs, hands clasped in front of me, and give him an innocent lift of my eyebrow. “I guess if you don’t know, then you don’t want what I have to offer.”

Roll for Love, Book Two

Hatred is complicated, clothing is simple—Edward doesn’t need a man, and he certainly doesn’t need cosplayer and tattoo artist, Izzy Montes, AKA The Masked Gentleman, Edward’s ultimate nemesis.

Edward and Izzy have been antagonising each other for over three years. Their rivalry is fierce, and Edward is determined to keep Izzy at arm’s length. Which would be all well and good… if they weren’t engaging in a secret, heated hook-ups.

Forced to appear together at a film premier in LA, Edward is determined to get in and out with minimal damage to his reputation… and his heart. But Izzy Montes proves to be a complication Edward couldn’t have predicted. Biting, funny, and charming in equal measure, he’s the one man Edward needs to loathe.

He’s also the one man Edward can’t get out of his mind.

Not that Izzy plans on letting him.

Special Release Teaser:

Izzy
“What the fuck are you watching?” Edward asked. He’d removed his boots and shirt, leaving him in just a pair of dark, tight-fitting jeans. Desire pulsed through me at the sight of him. His chest was lean and pale, almost vampiric, with sharp hipbones that disappeared into his waistband. It was funny; Edward wasn’t really my type, but maybe it was the fact I was horny and there was just something about hate sex that made it better than anything else. That probably said something about me, but I wasn’t interested in working out what it was.
“Porn.”“No shit, Sherlock.” He rolled his eyes and tossed his hair over his shoulder. It shimmered under the lights in an almost mesmerising way. He reached for the button of his jeans, pushing them over his thighs along with whatever underwear he’d been wearing. “What sort of porn?” “Gay.” My lips twitched. It was so fun winding him up. Edward grimaced like he was suddenly regretting all his life choices, and my smile widened. This was the most fun I’d had in weeks. “It’s a DP with a dildo and a creampie.” “Hmm.” He hummed and sauntered over to the bed, his cock already hard. “Do you like playing with toys? Or did you think putting something like a DP on would make me want to run away?” He climbed onto the bed and crawled up it, settling on top of my thighs and looking down at me with a dark smile on his lips. “If you thought that, darling, then you’re going to be disappointed.” He lowered his mouth to the side of my head, nipping my ear and sending a shiver running through me. His voice dropped to a low whisper. “Very disappointed.”

Book 2: Conscious Decisions of the Heart
Out Now

2_book2JW_ Cover

Released January 15th

Ben Rider and Nikolas Mikkelsen learn that danger comes in all shapes and sizes and often in places you least expect it.  Nikolas’s dark past calls to him, inexorably dragging him back into its seductive embrace.

While he goes on an errand of mercy to Russia, Ben travels to Denmark to learn Nikolas’s language.  Convinced Russia’s vastness will swallow Nikolas, Ben doesn’t see the enemy much closer to home.  Thinking he has lost Nikolas, Ben then makes a terrible decision that threatens to destroy everything they have together.

Focused on this very personal horror, bound by a new level of commitment, they have no idea that a greater threat is coming.  And when it arrives, it changes everything—even the definition of commitment.

Warning: This story contains the violent death of a minor character and some graphic violence and gay sex.

Excerpt from Conscious Decisions of the Heart

“Where now?  Another hotel?”

Nikolas shook his head.  “We move maybe into another place I have.”  He shrugged nonchalantly. “It was an investment.”

The investment turned out to be back at the restaurant they’d eaten in the night before, but instead of getting the driver to stop at the hotel, Nikolas directed him to a block of glass apartments next door.  Ben stared up at the towering mass of reflected light.

“Ugly.  But I guess they’ve got good views.”  Nikolas gave him a strange look but nodded.

It took some time for them to get through the extensive security.  Mainly because as soon as they entered the lobby and Nikolas went over to speak to reception, Ben recognised one of the suited men loitering by the lift doors.  He grinned and went up to him, slapping him on the back.

“Hello, soldier.”  The man grinned too and began to pump Ben’s hand.

“My God, Diesel.  You working here, too?”

Ben frowned.  “You’re working here?”

“Private security.  Best gig in town.  We’re all ex-Regiment.  What’re you doing here, then?”

Ben had one of his rare flashes of insight that it might be better not to tell his old mate he was about to move into one of the apartments with his…He shook himself slightly.

“Yeah.  Bodyguard.  Guy over there.  How long you been out, Squeezy?”

“Year.  Stuck it longer than you. You been good since you left?”  Ben nodded, not sure how good would exactly be defined.  All that was good in his life was currently across the other side of the lobby, and Nikolas had been strangely remote since their meeting with the Russian.

“Cool dog.  He yours?”

Ben glanced down at Radulf.  Would the hired help have a dog?  “The boss’s.”  He glanced about. “So, what’s it like here? Good pay?”

The man laughed.  “One of the fucking places sold for a hundred and forty million last week—supermodel we’re not allowed to speak to, ’parently.  Course, we chat her up every time we fucking see her.  She loves it really.  So, yeah, pay’s good, perks’re good.  Life’s good.  What does your guy do?”

Ben was still processing, very slowly, what his friend had just boasted.  He was remembering a conversation with Nikolas…You have four point two million poundsI have a little more than that…He swallowed, wondering, yet again, if he’d committed his life to a complete stranger.  He looked at his friend and for the first time in a long time, Ben wished he too could be a simple, private security guard with an uncomplicated life.

“He’s into mergers.”

“Huh.  Anyway, I’d better get back to looking fuckingly cool and hard.”

Ben smiled.  “Yeah.  I’m…on duty, too.  See ya.”

“You up for a drink with the boys one night?”

Ben perked up and nodded with a sly look.  “Rat-arsed?”

“Rat-arsed.”  They briefly touched knuckles, and then Nikolas was there.  He appeared to pick up on some vibe from Ben.  Knowing Nikolas, he’d probably been aware of the whole exchange, so he didn’t look at Ben as they waited for the elevator and then only nodded to his bag for Ben to pick up and carry.  They entered the lift.

Ben glanced over.  Nikolas was acting cool and unconcerned.  “There’s a swimming pool here.  You’ll be able to improve your technique.”

“Great.”

“And food is delivered from that odd place we ate last night.”

“Good.”

“You’re, as you’d say, pissed at me.”

“Not exactly.  So…four point two?  Do you enjoy making me look stupid?”

“Ah, well.” Nikolas turned to Ben.  “I laid you down on the bare floor of our real house and fucked you for free, Ben.  That was the real me, remember?  This is all illusion.  Pleasant, but merely smoke and mirrors.”

Ben turned to him, dropped Radulf’s lead, pushed him up against the wall of the elevator and pressed the emergency stop.  It was very quiet.  Very deliberately, Ben undid the button on Nikolas’s suit trousers.  He lowered the zip.  Hard and fast, he turned Nikolas to face the wall, and then, scrabbling, urgent, he entered him.  Nikolas’s head came back and collided with Ben’s face.  Ben kept his nose pressed into the delicious-smelling hair and flexed his muscles, pumping himself into the welcoming hole.  With one hand, he thrust into the front of Nikolas’s clothes and released him, working him.

They came together, a tangle of clothes and flesh and muted exclamations of desire.

Ben tried to make them decent again, but Nikolas stilled his hands.  When he released the emergency stop, the elevator exited into their own exclusive lobby, so no rearrangements were necessary.  They fell to the beautifully carpeted floor, ripped off the rest of their clothes and did it all again; this time Nikolas topping and working Ben until Ben’s jaw ached for an hour afterward from the tight clench of pain and pleasure.  Only when they were totally spent did they bother to rise and explore the apartment.

Nikolas is the sanest, straightest, person Ben knows, so can anyone tell him, why is he on a gay therapy course?

Nikolas Mikkelsen could make a very long list of unpleasant things he’s endured in his life.  Then order it from ‘nearly killed me’ to ‘extremely horrific and don’t want to do again’.  And what did it say about his forty-five years that being hit by a tsunami would be a considerable way down this list?  But nothing, not torture, imprisonment, nor starvation has prepared him for what he now has to endure for Ben Rider’s sake-attendance on a residential, gay therapy course.  At least he has a new contender for the top spot on his ‘my awful life’ list.

Mr. Right collage (one)

Excerpt From Mr. Mystery by Lana Kole

Jason swallowed back his curse and waited as patiently as one could while color floated around him as everyone retrieved their shots and fresh drinks. It seemed like ages, and a ton of empty congratulations from faceless people, before he reached the bar.

He ended up beside a flashy guy in a maroon suit. It cupped his ass nicely, and Jason gave him a second glance. A martini glass sat in front of him, and the man tilted his head back with his shot. The bartender eyed Jason once, saw the direction of his gaze, and skedaddled to the end of the bar.

When Red sat the shot glass back down, his head turned left and right before he paused in the direction of the bartender. His shoulders slumped, and Jason sidled up to him.

“L, guess you’re right. You are the one getting lucky tonight. Hope he’s Mr. Right,” he growled just loud enough for Jason to hear him as the song changed.

“Who’s Mr. Right?” he asked, leaning down.

A sparkling black mask turned in his direction. Behind the dripping effect that curved over his cheeks and nose, a pair of bright blue eyes peered at him.

“No one. That’s the problem,” he answered without missing a beat.

Jason chuckled. “A pessimist. A man after my own heart.”

“Give me a few more drinks and I’ll be as optimistic as anyone,” Red muttered.

As he tilted the martini glass back with lithe fingers, Jason got a look at the front of his suit. Or more specifically, the collar that wrapped around his throat and dipped beneath his black shirt.

Jason swallowed.

Holy hell. He’d never seen someone wear a harness like that so openly. So naturally.

He wanted to slide his index finger beneath the leather and his skin and feel his Adam’s apple bob as he swallowed.

Maybe even around his cock.

Jason cleared his throat and motioned for the bartender. He needed a drink, quick. Jason wasn’t one to hook up, not usually. It was too risky and usually resulted in more trouble than it was worth.

But Red here? With that spicy little collar just begging to be played with?

He’d take a chance on it.

Excerpt:

The closer I got to home, the more the hair on the back of my neck stood up, and my stomach clenched. Whatever was about to happen in my life, it was close. My eyes automatically started scanning the road, my shifter-enhanced vision helping me see more of the dark ground off to the sides than a human ever could. I eased off the throttle and slowed as I came around the first curve taking me higher into the mountain. If I hadn’t, I might have missed the brown dog lying half out of the ditch. At this speed, I was able to stop in plenty of time to check it out. The poor thing looked dead. Hopefully not, though, since I was feeling strangely drawn toward it. Had someone’s dog been hit by a car? Or even worse, had an animal been abandoned and left to die? While sickening, such cruelty wasn’t unheard of, especially on high traffic roads like this. No matter. I’d always wanted a dog. If this one could be saved, I’d give it a home with all the love its heart could handle, since I knew a thing or two about being tossed aside. Parking my bike as close to the side as possible with the attached sidecar, I hit my flashers and crossed my fingers no one would come hurtling around the corner and crash into my ride. My headlight lit up the area, letting me see the unprotected stomach and balls of a medium-sized, toffee-colored wolf. Huh. Seeing such sensitive areas on display told me the wolf was either dead or knocked out. Before I took a step away from the bike, my wolf howled and tried to jump forward. He slammed against my chest, pushing to take over. Fighting him back took more strength than it ever had in my life, and within three more steps, the wind shifted, and my human nose understood what my wolf had already discerned. This wasn’t a wild wolf, and he wasn’t dead. This was my mate. I took off at a run, rushing to his side and frantically checking for a pulse. Between the thick fur and my own nerves, finding the fluttering proof of his heartbeat took longer than it should have. Even as I breathed out in relief, I felt almost foolish. On some level, I’d known he was alive since he didn’t smell like death. No, he smelled like candied ginger and some soft herb I couldn’t quite name at the moment. And more importantly, he smelled like… home. Like my home. The one place where I would always belong. His weak heartbeat concerned me, as did the dried blood covering his paws and the ridiculous amount of burrs and nettles matted into his fur. He clearly needed a healer. Sliding a hand under his head, I gently lifted it and brushed my fingers over his muzzle while I considered my next steps. A human doctor was out of the question, but the one thing lacking in my new pack was anyone with medical skills. The sole epsilon I knew of was an hour away, give or take, in Lucerne Valley. Shit. Of course I should’ve thought of Matt’s pack immediately. Not only did they have an epsilon, they were better set up to help protect and defend my omega mate than my newly trained deltas. The men in my pack had fighting skills, but they weren’t soldiers. Matt sent a couple of his Delta captains over to help with my newly formed squadron, but it was a work in progress. Not until this week had we finally been able to start zeroing in on possible captain candidates to take over when Matt’s men left. Carefully lifting him, I cradled my mate against my chest, shielding his body from further injury. A semi rumbled by, throwing a blast of heated air our way. Seeing the truck reminded me of our vulnerable position, further hammered home as several cars roared past. Moving carefully, I hustled as much as I dared, carrying him to my bike, where I settled him on the sidecar’s floorboard. I snagged a blanket from one of the compartments, tucking it around him as best I could to help protect his smaller body from the wind. I wasn’t sure if it would hit him down there, but better safe than sorry. Once I had my helmet on, I fired up the beast and merged with traffic while I tapped the button for my Bluetooth. As soon as Raul came on the line, I explained the situation and asked him to oversee the pack run tonight. Raul had already proven himself to be efficient and the perfect beta for me, so I wasn’t surprised at his easy acceptance. “No problemo, Lucian. I’ve got things here. Your mate comes first. We’ll be here waiting to meet him when he’s well. I’ll let Mamá know—she’ll want to light a candle. Be safe. Don’t drive like a demon tonight. Remember, getting in an accident will only prolong getting him to a healer.” Considering the way he drove, I grinned at his warning, but appreciated the concern. “Thanks, Raul. I’ll be in touch.” After I ended the call, I pushed aside all worries about my pack. For the rest of the drive, I focused on two things—the road and keeping one eye on my mate for any sign of further distress.

The Reluctant Alpha Now on audio!

Narrated by Nick J Russo

“As much as I felt bad for this Elisha person—God, my heart was breaking for the young man and all he’d been through—I was also angry. I’d left that pack in my rearview ten years ago for a good reason.”

Matthias Longclaw is happy living his life on the back of his beloved Harley with his five best friends and brothers-in-arms at his side. The West Coast Wolves are a rare pack of alphas, made up of unwanted orphans and second-born sons. The packs they were born to may not have wanted them, but they’ve built a solid family of their own. They help where they can, doing random acts of kindness and expecting nothing in return, just helping to build a world they want to live in.

Then Matt gets a call from an old childhood buddy. He’s being called back—begged to return—to reclaim his birthright and save a life in the process. The problem is… to do it, he will have to take a mate. And if he refuses? The omega will die.

Torn between his duty to help others and his resentment of his old pack, Matt never expects for Elisha Whitetail to tilt his world and change everything. Can Matt and Elisha rebuild a broken pack while tending to a new love and a growing family while dealing with outside threats from neighboring packs?

They’re wolves. Strong, proud, and willing to do what it takes when their community needs them… whatever it takes.

This is the first in a new mpreg series about finding joy in a hard world, building family, and discovering that life can surprise a person when they least expect it. Although this world has harsher themes than my previous books, it still has the same heart you’d expect. Plus a dose of my irreverent humor and all the naughty, knotty heat that comes with true mates. It wouldn’t be a Susi Hawke book without it. Be sure to read the author’s note at the beginning for possible trigger warnings.

About the Author:

I’m a happily married mom of one snarky teenage boy, and three grown “kids of my heart.” As a reader and big romance fan myself, I love sharing the stories of the different people who live in my imagination. My stories are filled with humor, a few tears, and the underlying message to not give up hope, even in the darkest of times, because life can change on a dime when you least expect it. This theme comes from a lifetime of lessons learned on my own hard journey through the pains of poverty, the loss of more loved ones than I’d care to count, and the struggles of living through chronic illnesses. Life can be hard, but it can also be good! Through it all I’ve found that love, laughter, and family can make all the difference, and that’s what I try to bring to every tale I tell.

Excerpt from Love Is A Stranger:

“Hello, Benjamin.”

Ben suppressed a smile.  He had no idea what the relationship with his boss really was, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to let the man know he actually liked him.  Like was a safe word, and he was sticking with that.  He half turned away from the table, moved his plate further out of reach, and asked stonily, “What’s the job you’ve got for me, sir?”

“All in good time.”  After a few moments, watching his wife direct one of the gardeners cutting holly, Nikolas asked, deceptively casually, “So, Benjamin, will you indulge me?”

Ben did laugh at that.  Sir Nikolas would never be so inelegant as to mention their more unusual extracurricular activities.  Ben knew exactly what his boss wanted and nodded.  “Sure, why not?”

They led Nikolas’s horses out of the magnificently appointed stables.  In most everything else he did, Nikolas retained his enigmatic, impeccable elegance, the facade no one was allowed to penetrate—but not in this.  On a horse, he became something else, something dangerous.  He became primitive.  He was at one with the animal in a way an English aristocrat could never be.  Ben felt menace, something truly fierce in the Norseman when they rode together.  They negotiated the grounds down to where the gardens met tidal river estuary.  It was low tide and the mud flats were exposed.  The track was slippery, with a deep, primal smell of mud, salt, and seaweed.  They rode carefully, the horses’ hooves picking between the rocks.  Then they came to the beach, just wet sand now at the low tide.  Nikolas turned around in his saddle, his face animated.  “Race?”

Ben wondered how this beautiful man could bear to live his life hidden behind the facades he showed to the world.  This was the Sir Nikolas Mikkelsen he was allowed rare glimpses of.  After all, it wasn’t easy for a man to keep all his pretences in place when covered in another man’s sweat and come.  When Nikolas was deep inside Ben’s body, he was a very different man.  Here, on a freezing beach in December, that man of passion and fire emerged once more.  Ben laughed, the wind catching the rare sound and whipping it away out to sea.

“What do you win when I inevitably lose?”

Nikolas laughed too and nudged his horse closer, their thighs touching.

“I am a generous host, Benjamin.  You can choose your own forfeit.”  His thick Danish accent tangled the words.  Ben felt the same frisson of excitement at the base of his spine that he’d felt during their very first meeting, a handshake across a desk and a simple greeting,

Mr. Rider. Thank you for coming.”  Nikolas had thanked him for coming in more imaginative ways since then.

Ben made as if to answer Nikolas’s question now, slyly turning towards their proposed route.  Then with a kick, he was off.  He needed every advantage.  The wind made his eyes water, froze his ears.  He could ride, but he rode like a man on a horse.  Nikolas Mikkelsen didn’t.  He was the horse and the pounding surf; he was the wind whipped around their heads, the smell of salt and earthly pleasures.  He caught Ben easily, stayed with him and toyed with him as they approached the cliffs that rose to the headland.  As they negotiated the tidal pools, he pulled ahead and around the newly exposed section of beach into the cove that was only accessible at low tide.  Their finish marker was always an imaginary line between the millstone and the camel, two distinctly shaped rocks Ben had renamed “the arsehole” and “the stiffy.”  Nikolas beat him by several lengths, as he always did.  He pulled up in the surf, wheeling, his horse dancing to the beat of the waves.  Ben reigned in beside him.  “Bastard.”

Nikolas turned his horse so they were side by side facing each other.  “So, my winnings?”

Releasing January 29th
