Welcome to Bear Essentials, where caring for the outside of you from head to toe is our specialty.

Mel Carter is perfectly content with their life. A chance encounter and a size fifteen foot in their mouth later, content is no longer acceptable.

Elias Garcia slammed into Mel’s life with a carefree giggle. There was only one thing for a Dommy with a penchant for strict rules like Mel to do, assess their life and take the leap, okay two things.

Join Bear Essentials’ front-end manager as they discover just how special the full-time genius, part-time free spirit, Elias aka Blu, really is.

Ruling It All is an M-NB sweet and fluffy romance with BDSM concepts, an age gap, pets who are “silent” characters, and an AI that will cause more than a little mishap.

Bear Essentials is a continuous series and must be read in order.

Excerpt from Ruling It All

Mel POV

Dylan finally broke the silence. “I’m not mad at you.”

“No? You have every right to be. I was an asshole.” I knew I had been an asshole and out of line. I still really didn’t understand why it was such a big deal. That alone probably made me sound insincere, but I just didn’t get it.

“You were, but I know you didn’t intend to eat your foot as much as you did. You couldn’t have known what kind of effect your words would have on Elias. You don’t know him.” Dylan sipped his coffee.

“I don’t. I haven’t had the opportunity to apologize to him either. He moved his appointments, clearly trying to avoid me.”

“Well, you’re not the only one he’s been avoiding. Except for his appointment earlier this week, he hadn’t left his house since that day.”

My forehead crinkled, and I set my cup down. “What? Why?”

“To put it simply, he didn’t want to cause any trouble between anyone, so he decided the best way to do that would be to remove himself from the equation.” Dylan shook his head like he didn’t agree with Elias’s actions.

“That doesn’t make any sense.” I was confused and thought the action was a little childish.

“You have to understand that Elias doesn’t think the way we do.” Dylan paused like he was trying to find words. I waited patiently. “You know how really smart people see the world differently than most everyone else?”

I nodded. I hadn’t known anyone like that but there’s examples in movies and TV. I didn’t know how accurate those were, but I could imagine how the world differed for those kinds of people.

“Well, Elias just sees the world differently. He is a genius, and I’m not just saying that. He’s literally a rocket scientist and does work for NASA, and I’m sure, the defense department. Whether he’s on the autistic or Asperger’s spectrum, I don’t know. I’ve never asked. It’s never mattered to me to put a label on him. Some people I can see would need to have an explanation, I guess, for some of his behavior, but I don’t need that. All his little quirks are the things that make him, him. The why of them doesn’t change who he is.”

I nodded. I understood exactly what he was saying. Many times I’ve been asked in my life why I am who I am, and I have no answers for them. I am who I was born as and as God made me. “Everyone has their idiosyncrasies. It’s just a matter of learning them and accepting them as part of that person.”
