“Do you even know what it’s like to be in bed and asleep by ten? I’ve already found my first gray hair,” Sacha asked.
Sacha sounded so dejected that Corrigan laughed. “Gray hair makes a man look distinguished.” What the hell just fell out my mouth? Next, he’d be declaring a daddy fetish.
Careful. This man oversees your scholarship. He blinked hard.
“Silver. Gray is trite. But silver….” Sacha wagged his finger. “Silver has charm and is on the stock exchange.” He pulled the Mercedes into the parking lot of the athletic dorm and stopped at the front doors.
“Thanks for the ride.” Corrigan lifted his gym bag into his lap and opened the door. “And it wouldn’t matter gray or silver. You’d wear them both well.”
Run.
He dashed to the building before Sacha could respond or he could swallow his entire leg.
