Callum Kennedy

I should have known behind that deep sexy southern drawl, and beautiful face lived the world’s biggest asshole.

I’ve tried my damnedest to put him behind me. But it was hard to do when I saw his face every night in my dreams and couldn’t forget how he worked my body over.

It was okay. I had my work as a vet, my equine rescue to manage, and my friends. I’d forget him or work myself to death trying.

Except there’s one problem.

Turns out he’s the new free-agent running back who just signed a one-year deal with the Portland Pirates. The infamous Declan Miller has turned my world upside down and reinserted his unforgettable self back into my life for the next year.

Declan’s the last person I want help from, but it looks like I don’t have a choice.

Declan Miller

When I walked into Alejandro’s Bar that night in late July, I never expected to meet someone my first night in town.

But the sexy guy with wavy dark blond hair and hazel-green eyes sitting alone at the bar caught my attention immediately. Or maybe it was the way he was sniffing his own shirt.

After a night of the best sex of my life, I knew I had to push him away. I wasn’t doing relationships anymore, and this gorgeous, funny man had the power to break me.

But when I find out my unforgettable hookup is part of my new friend group, Dr. Callum Kennedy wants nothing to do with me until he has no choice but to let me help.

Illegal Motion is an MM sports romance and the fourth book in The Package Deal Series about the hot single dads of the Portland Pirates football team.

Excerpt:

“Alex clearly doesn’t get his sportsmanship from his father,” Abe quipped.

“Kiss my ass, Beecham,” I said softly in deference to the kids around us.

Abe leaned in until his hot breath ghosted over my ear. “Gladly.”

I turned my head and looked at my best friend. His expression held a carnal promise that made me swallow hard. If I gave him the word, Abe would take me home, yank down my pants, and bury his face between my ass cheeks. I could practically feel his hot breath against my quivering pucker. His tongue would swirl and tease the rim before pushing in. Lust gripped my balls and squeezed. God, I wanted him so bad.

“Now I really need to hear this story,” Russ quipped, jerking me back to reality and saving me from breaking my own heart. I blinked away the fantasy, and Abe’s lips curled into a proud, wolfish smile. Unaware of the tension arcing between Abe and me, Russ continued chatting. “I knew you and Beecham went way back, Lio, but it sounds like there’s more to it than I realized.”

Few people knew the full story because I was stingy when it came to Abe. Our relationship had been fueled by variations of hate and love for three decades, but there had never been a right time to explore whether those feelings could develop into something more profound. My heart wanted to say until now, but my brain knew better than to get my hopes up. Abe and I had both drawn lines in the sand, and neither showed signs of relenting.

HOLIDAYS SUCK!, Book 2

Over the river and through the woods, to a vampire’s lair we go.…

Paul and Taviano approach their first Thanksgiving, happy together but wary. Paul frets he’ll one day die and leave Taviano alone, but the demon that shares Taviano’s body won’t even consider turning Paul into a vampire. On top of that, Paul is coming up on the third anniversary of the day his parents kicked him out for being gay. He’s planning a Friendsgiving to distract himself but, wouldn’t you know it, he gets kidnapped first by an unknown vampire.

Taviano frantically searches for his beloved human with the help of some unexpected allies: A newly-turned college student and a vampire doctor who works the graveyard shift at a hospital. Meanwhile, Paul is taunted by a creepy-ass vampire in a terrible track suit who hints he’s important to her mysterious plan. Oh, and the guy who kidnapped him in the first place? Spoiler alert: it’s Bronislav, the Russian vamp who turned Taviano over 170 years ago. What the hell is going on, and what is “the alchemist’s riddle” his captors keep nattering about?

The answer to those questions could change everything Paul and Taviano thought they knew about their love and their future together. Fated mates, a huge age gap (like, 150 years), ancient myths, a found family, a bit of gore — that’s what a holiday should be, right?

Fangsgiving is the second novella in the gay romance trilogy HOLIDAYS SUCK! that began with Vampire Claus. This book can stand alone but is better as part of the ongoing story of Paul and Taviano. It features a heartwarming, happy-for-now ending for a vampire, a young man with a surprising family tree, and the weirdest gathering for a Friendsgiving the world has ever seen.

Excerpt:

Paul swung his heels as he perched on a mahogany table, eager for the moment his boyfriend opened the door to the crypt.

The steel slab mocked him with its bulk. So heavy that it would take at least ten humans to pull it open, it was further secured by the thick bar within that held it shut. The vampire who had originally built the home and crypt over one hundred years earlier had been pretty paranoid, Paul figured, to construct such a safe room for himself.

“C’mon,” he muttered, glancing again at his wristwatch. The elegant hands of his Piaget indicated it was four twenty. Sundown was supposed to be at four twenty-seven that day; he’d checked. All summer, it had been torture waiting for Taviano, when the sun refused to set before eight-thirty at night. Then he’d lose their morning together because Taviano had to be back in his lair at the asscrack of dawn. Now, in November, after the clocks were reset, he could have so much more time with his Tall-Dark-and-Fanged man, with the nights growing still longer for a while. And Paul was greedy for every moment.

He pulled from his jeans pocket a mini candy bar left over from the Halloween party they’d hosted for the neighbors weeks ago. Biting into the slightly stale chocolatey goodness, he chewed thoughtfully. It rankled that, although they had been together for more than ten months, Taviano still would not permit Paul to sleep with him in the secured, windowless vault where he spent the day.

“But babe,” Paul had tried, “your demon-thingy likes me even though it doesn’t want to make me a vamp. It wouldn’t eat me.”

“We can’t be sure of that,” Taviano had answered in that low, sexy baritone, his Italian accent making Paul squirm. “We have been very lucky, yes. The demon that shares this body is aware of how important you are to me. Yet who knows what might happen while I sleep? I could crush you accidentally, or even bite you if my sleeping mind perceives you as a threat.”

At the thought of being bitten, Paul shivered. Yet another thing Taviano had denied him so far. No matter how much he moaned and pleaded in moments of passion, Taviano wouldn’t drink blood from him. It would be super hot, Paul was certain, to feel those needle-sharp fangs pierce his neck just as he was ready to come. Imagining the sensation, he had to shift as his cock stiffened in his tight jeans.

Well, he’d just keep at it until he wore Taviano down.

His eliXXir Cover

Men of New York, Book 2

Trey Winters had always been a user. So arrogant and self-centered. Being co-owner of eliXXir, one of the highest profile clubs in Hell’s Kitchen meant he never failed to attract the hottest men around and toss them aside after one encounter. Trey had a life most would envy. One he reveled in, until a mystery man crossed his path one Valentine’s Day, complicating matters both in and outside the bedroom.

He didn’t want to want him.

Didn’t want to need him.

But fate, it would seem, had other ideas.

Noah Middleton craved to express himself the only way he knew how. Reach his full potential, chronic illness be damned. Accepting a place at a prestigious New York dance academy might have made his goal so close he could taste it, but after admitting to his best friend he’d been unable to stop thinking about the beautiful stranger he’d met on his last visit, said friend took it upon himself to play Cupid.

The man was irresistible.

A temptation like no other.

And for Noah, that was the scariest part of all.

Excerpt:

February 14th

Noah Middleton

“Welcome to Hell’s Kitchen, buddy. So great to see you after all this time.” Justin Blake, my best friend in the world, smiled as he closed the door behind us, then drew me in for a hug before taking my overnight bag and setting it down next to the hall table.

“Gee, you didn’t have to get all dressed up on my account.” Justin’s attire drew out my smile. The red boxers and a matching robe hanging loose and open around his slender form left little to the imagination.

“Don’t be dissin’ the outfit, or I just might have to kick your ass. By the way, love the ‘do.” Mussing my hair, Justin laughed.

My chestnut, shoulder length tresses had been cut and bleached to suit a role as James Dean in a dance production about the actor’s life back in San Francisco. I could not have appeared more different than my usual self.

“Thanks,” I said as a behemoth of a guy emerged from the bedroom wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist and a brilliant smile.

“Wes, this is my best friend in the whole world, Noah Middleton. Noah, meet Wes Bradford.”

“It’s great to finally meet you.” Justin had gone on nonstop about the guy I had yet to meet before now.

Wes pulled me in for a hug so tight, I was finding it difficult to breathe. I was doing all I could to keep my junk away from his as well as praying the towel stayed put. Accidental dick touches would be awkward, considering Justin was like a brother to me, and Wes had the potential of becoming his future husband.

“Take it easy, sweet cheeks. You’re going to suffocate the poor boy if you’re not careful.”

I stared at Justin over Wes’s shoulder, and he chuckled, then blew me an air kiss.

“Oops. Sorry.” Wes loosened his grip, eyes filled with apology.

I gave him a smile and straightened my glasses. I usually wore contacts, but my eyes had gotten a little dry during the flight.

“How about we get you settled? We don’t have much time if you want to check out your new school.” Justin picked up my bag and grabbed me by the hand.

After a brief tour of the neat, modern apartment, Justin’s brash taste showing through with the abundance of bright furnishings and unique artwork, Wes headed out, and I was left in my room to change. I got out my medicine cooler and plugged it in. Reaching into my jeans pocket, I pulled out my test kit and gave myself the usual workup, growling out a low, “Fuck,” when my phone buzzed with an incoming call.

The past six months had seen me through a break-up, the excitement of receiving my scholarship, as well as being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Talk about the best and worst aspects of my existence colliding. Mom pitching a fit over the fact I wasn’t about to let a chronic illness stop me from moving to the other side of the country was part of the reason I’d taken the plunge anyway. After all, was it too much to ask to be treated like a regular human being for once?

I sat on the edge of the bed and answered the call.

“Hey.”

“So, you made it there safe and sound? I was getting worried you’d—”

“Go into a diabetic coma on the subway and fall face first onto the tracks? Don’t sweat it, Mom. Everything’s cool.” I heard her let out a huge rush of air.

“If you say so. How’s Justin doing?”

“Great. We’re leaving to check out the school in a few, so that’ll be good.”

“Sounds wonderful. I’m so relieved he’s there to make sure you look after yourself. You will be making an appointment with Dr. Hampson as soon as possible, right.” It was a directive, not a question.

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I heaved a lingering sigh, then stood and began to pace. Her empty nest syndrome had never been quite this chronic.

“Like I said, I’ll do it the second I have time.”

“Well, don’t leave it too long. He’s one of the most sought-after endocrinologists in the city, and you’re overdue to get your HbA1c checked as it is.”

And hadn’t that sentiment been drilled into my skull nonstop ever since I’d told the family about my scholarship to one of the most prestigious up and coming dance schools in the country.

“I’ve been away before and looked after myself just fine, and besides, my blood sugar average was good last time I got tested.” Setting the phone down on the dresser, I put it on speaker, then unzipped my backpack. I took out a clean pair of sweats and a Henley before peeling off my jacket.

“But this is the first time I haven’t been able to get in the car and come see you,” she complained. I’d been based at my family home in L.A. and had flitted between there and San Francisco to perform, but that hadn’t stopped Mom from driving to wherever I was to see me.

“I thought you’d be grateful for the peace and quiet now Charlie’s there cramping your style.”

My older brother by six years, Charlie hadn’t lived under my parents’ roof since marrying his college sweetheart, Zoe. Their subsequent divorce had given him no choice other than to move back home, at least till he got his life together. Since they didn’t have any kids, their split was reasonably amicable, but I knew Charlie still missed his former wife.

“You’d think so, but I have to admit I love having him around again, what with how your father’s been.”

“The old man driving you nuts already, huh?” As I set about changing my clothes, my mother updated me on Dad’s latest quest to figure out what to do with himself since his recent retirement.

“If he doesn’t find a hobby soon, I swear I’ll end him. He tried to bake cookies the other day and almost burned down the house.”

A fit of laughter overcame me. “Oh, please. You love having him around and you know it.”

“Maybe, but he’d better not set foot in my kitchen again if he knows what’s good for him.” There was a smile in her voice. “Anyway, I’d best let you go. Don’t forget to send through some pictures of your new school, all right?”

“Promise.”

Ending the call, I glanced out the window, taking in the sight of the busy street below, grin firmly in place. The hustle and bustle that was New York City was unlike any place on earth, and I couldn’t believe I was going to be in it for good.

Tentacular Tales, Book 2

A grumpy-sexy alien and his (mostly) human sunshiney mate find the road to happily ever after is paved with challenges, including a troublesome ex, alien refugees in need of help, unexpected mating instincts, and someone trying to expose alien existence on Earth. Tentacles and tarnation! Will they be able to handle everything in their way and finally get engaged?

RIVER

Working for the Alliance is a sci-fi nerd’s dream–aka mine–come true. I’ve even won the heart of my grumpy-sexy alien boyfriend. Nothing can bring me down, baby. I’m walking on freaking sunshine! Except now one of Kai’s douchey AF exes decides to turn up like a bad case of crabs that he can’t get rid of. I don’t trust him one bit. But I’ve got even bigger problems to worry about. Like helping some awesome aliens in trouble, and maybe moving in with Kai, who’s totally going to propose any day now—right? Oh, and my shady relatives might be hiring an assassin to take me out. So, you know, a day in the life of River Sullivan. I’m sure everything’s going to be fine. Won’t it?

KAI

Just when we think we have a new lead on the drug dealer targeting extraterrestrials on Earth, we run into a major roadblock. And the longer this mess of an investigation drags on without answers, the less I like it. Outside of work though, things are going amazingly well with my adorable mate–dear galactic gods, how did that happen? But with an ex back in my life wanting to be friends again, and the threat of a potential assassin looming, things are getting a little complicated. I love River with both my hearts—and all five tentacles—but even I’m worried I might not be able to protect him from the dangers ahead. Also, I need to figure out how the heck I’m going to propose to him. River deserves something “epic,” and I don’t want to let him down. Am I going to be able to deliver?

Can’t Help Falling in Love with an Alien (Tentacular Tales #2) is a (116,000 words) M/M sci-fi rom com and the second book in the series. It should be read in chronological order. This installment features a pajama party date that will go down in infamy, inappropriate team t-shirts, a half-baked love poem, more Captain Starblade and Lord Vardox, drunken shenanigans courtesy of spaceship moonshine, unexpected mating instincts, plenty of new aliens with problems for River to solve, and tentacles galore. And possibly an epic proposal? This book has an HFN ending and no cheating. Never fear—there is a guaranteed HEA by the end of the series!

Excerpt

“Whatcha doing?” River asks, suddenly materializing out of nowhere like a bloody ninja.

I let out a far too shrill shriek and jolt from my position on the bed before hastily slamming shut the laptop perched on my knees. “Nothing!”

I mentally cringe. That sounded guilty as hell.

River narrows his shrewd green eyes at me, immediately suspicious. He glances at the laptop I’m clutching in desperation.

“Isn’t that mine?”

I feel blood rushing to my cheeks, practically writing an admission of guilt all over my face. “Maybe?”

River puts his hands on his hips, and I can’t stop myself from ogling him. He’s standing there with a towel wrapped around his waist and nothing else. His usual wild mop of golden curls are now wet coils, dripping water down the smooth skin of his chest. He’s much smaller than me, but he has a tight, compact body that appeals on every level. The recent training he’s been doing with our team under Zamir’s guidance has turned his limber body into an even more sculpted and strong one.

Just looking at him makes my cock and tentacles throb. I was already half hard from reading the start of the latest installment in River’s story, but seeing him nearly naked and wet from his shower, I lose all interest in Lord Vardox and Captain Starblade’s adventures. The man in front of me is far too tempting to ignore.

A slow grin spreads across his face as he realizes what’s going on. “You couldn’t wait, could you? You were totally sneaking a peek at the latest chapter.”

“I should get to read it before anyone else, anyway,” I mutter. “This seems like a perk your boyfriend ought to have.”

“What did you think? Did you like it?” He leers at me, and then he says in a strange voice, “Did it make you horny, baby? Yeah!”

My confusion must show on my face because he lets out a very loud and put upon sigh. “You seriously haven’t seen Austin Powers? Come on! You’re older than me, and I’ve seen those movies. With Benji, of course.”

Ah, more elusive human pop culture. “I don’t share your obsession with movies.” Technically true, but I do enjoy messing with him sometimes and pretending I’ve never seen things I actually have. This is not one of those times, though.

Some of River’s cinematic viewing choices are highly questionable. I’m still trying to recover from having to sit through some 80s sci-fi film atrocity called Earth Girls Are Easy. River claims it’s campy and brilliant. I thought it was a cheesy, low-budget waste of almost two hours of my life. The aliens weren’t even remotely believable!

Although I will admit that Mr. Jeff Goldblum was very easy on the eyes. River and I agree on that.

My boyfriend gets a determined glint in his eyes. “I’ll woo you to the dark side one of these days.”

On the heels of that proclamation, he saunters toward me, and my gaze fixates on the beads of water dripping down his naked chest and trailing under the band of the towel riding oh-so-low on his hips.

Temptation, thy name is River Sullivan.

“Like what you see?” he asks, his eyes hooded and tone sultry.

I set the laptop aside in a hurry. “You know I do.”

River comes to stand between my legs where I’m sitting on the edge of the bed. I lean forward to lick several of the water drops trailing down his chest. He shivers in pleasure. Inhaling deeply, I groan at the amazing smell wafting off his body. It’s the most tantalizing scent of warm vanilla mixed with cinnamon, sugar, and a masculine base of sandalwood.

I pull River closer and nuzzle into his neck, sniffing the alluring aroma. “What’s this heavenly smell?”

He practically purrs with satisfaction. “It’s my new body wash and cologne.” He lifts my head up to look into his eyes. “I got them just for you.”

With a growl, I pull him down onto the bed next to me and splay him out, leaning over his delectable body. “How did you know I’d like this?”

River grins. “Because it makes me smell like a giant snickerdoodle. Duh.”

I feign being affronted. “Are you trying to arouse me by smelling like…manly baked cookies?”

He arches a mischievous eyebrow at me. “It worked, didn’t it?”

Dark matter and damn it! It totally did.

Except, my tentacles may have accidentally started the Mating Courtship Ritual with him…

It’s Not Unusual to be Loved by an Alien (Tentacular Tales #1) is an (102,000 words) M/M sci-fi rom com featuring an adorkable twink with unexpected secrets and a slight obsession with extraterrestrials, the reluctant alien he wants to make his boo, tentacles with a mind of their own, zany extraterrestrial shenanigans in Sin City, and enough humor to fill an entire spaceship. Who better to ask than my alien boo, and mega fan, Kai? So naturally, I plan an ultra festive Christmas-themed date night to get Kai in a festive mood to listen to my story. There will be cookies, cocoa, and hopefully plenty of sexy times. But as they often say about the best-laid plans of aliens and men…

KAI

I’m learning that when it’s River’s turn to plan our date nights, I have to be prepared for almost anything. Coming home to find my house looking like the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie exploded in my living room was not what I was expecting—especially in October! But once River brings out the sugar cookies and cocoa, I’m on board. He knows the way to my two hearts. However, when I’m getting in more than just the Christmas mood, trouble arrives in the form of River’s Uncle Benji, my brother, my mother, and my father. My inner grump may go full grinch if they don’t leave us—and my precious sugar cookies—alone!

A Very Tentacular Christmas (Tentacular Tales 1.5) is a 32,000 word novella that takes place between Books 1 and 2 in the series. It features more in the adventures of Captain Starblade and Lord Vardox who are trapped on a winter moon during a snowstorm and there’s only one bed (!), the unexpected arrival of meddlesome family members at the worst possible moment, sexy Santa lingerie, bells on balls, an unintentionally erotic sculpture, and plenty of Christmas cheer!

Excerpt:

Just a little more, sisters! Tenebra growled.

Atropos shuddered as the Black Fate’s divine energy seared her soul. Elios’s black core finally shattered, the sound so loud it resonated through every cell and fiber of her body and drew a scream from her lips. Power flooded her with her next heartbeat, robbing her of breath, the taste so sweet and wonderful after going so long without it she could only sob.

The dark chains that had held her captive for three hundred years hissed and dissipated as they fell, the God of Darkness’s corrupt shackles vanishing in the divine light throbbing from her flesh. Her gold, laurel crown bloomed into life upon her head at the same time dazzling white wings unfurled from her back.

Points of radiance dotted the distance as her sisters regained their godly powers.

It had taken one hundred years for Tenebra to rot the corrupt kernel within herself. One hundred years of slowly and agonizingly chipping away at the evil energy entrapping her soul, every nick and scratch likely filling her with immeasurable agony.

Atropos knew what it must have cost the Black Fate to achieve this almost unsurmountable feat. She fisted her hands.

I will not let her efforts go to waste!

A storm bloomed above her as she rose from her prison and converged on her sisters, the wind whistling in her ears and ruffling her long, silver hair. Dark clouds were rushing across the firmament, the formations twisting in eldritch shapes that heralded what was to come. Lightning cracked, the accompanying thunder so loud it rattled Atropos’s teeth.

The Nether was about to tear, just as she had foreseen.

They met in the center of the crater and clasped and kissed each other for long minutes, their faces full of tears, the love that existed between them brightening their bond. Though they had been given different titles and tasks upon their creation, they would always be tied by their affection for one another.

How goes the thread, Clo?” Atropos asked urgently.

Clotho smiled and showed them her hand. In it was the gold thread she had been spinning for the past hundred years. “It is finished, sister.

Relief rushed through Atropos. She shuddered and briefly closed her eyes.

She had known the task she had given the youngest Moira would be nigh impossible. To spin a different Fate for them was technically forbidden. But, considering the Gods of old continued to hide in the Heavens and had done nothing to stop Elios, Atropos had decided bending the laws that ruled them was justifiable in this instance.

They can punish me all they want afterward. Atropos squared her shoulders. And I shall tell them what I think of them straight to their cowardly faces!

Tenebra’s Rot had freed them from Elios’s hold. But it was the Fate Clotho had created for them that would ensure their escape from the prison where Elios had trapped them. They just needed the right distraction to keep the God of Darkness’s eyes away from the Seventh Purgatory long enough for them to make their getaway.

The ground trembled as the havoc in the Nether reverberated across all the realms. Giant slabs of rock detached from the walls of the crater and crashed down with dull roars. Debris and dust filled the air, casting turbulent billows in the sulfurous clouds filling the depression and exposing the lava bubbling violently from the crevasses snaking across the hellish landscape.

Here they come,” warned Kes.

Figures loomed into view atop the distant cliff’s edge. More crowded the sky. They encircled the Goddesses’ prison, their number some five hundred strong. Atropos’s knuckles whitened.

The regiment of war demons and the thirty Nephilim and Cyclops Elios had tasked with guarding them looked daunting even at a distance. Fury ignited her blood as her brother’s face swam before her eyes.

She reached out a hand to her right. “Come!

A pair of giant, golden shears shimmered into existence in her palm, the weapon manifesting from where it had lain hidden within her soul. She gripped the handles and separated the blades to form two deadly sabers.

Her sisters’ weapons appeared in their grasp, their faces full of the same rage burning through her.

Wait for it,” Atropos warned.

The disruption in the sky accelerated. An uncanny light pulsed through the inky formations roiling above them.

Any second now!

Atropos’s ears popped when a deafening silence befell them. Her heart slammed a rapid tempo upon her breastbone. She could sense the same hush spreading across every realm connected to the Nether.

The space where the four Guardians lived and carried out their duties to protect them all from the Abyss fractured with a noise that heralded the ending of worlds. Violent quakes shook the Seventh Purgatory. The land beneath them started to split.

A dark crack tore across the sky.

NOW!” Atropos barked.

They shot out of the crater and arrowed toward the fracture line high above them, nine points of golden light that caused sonic booms to rip the sulfur-laden atmosphere. Nine Goddesses full of the wrath gathered over half a millennium and the iron-clad determination to best the foul God who had intended to trap them in that hellhole for eternity.

Malachi Booth is a supermodel. He’s used to moving about the world, sleeping with whoever takes his fancy and watching the money roll in. The last place he expects to find himself is on a run-down farm in Cornwall, but a bad bout of bronchitis means that he’s stuck there. The only compensation for this dismal state of affairs is that the farmer is very good looking, even if he’s the grumpiest person that Malachi has ever met.

Cadan Landry’s farm has been in his family for hundreds of years but that doesn’t make it any easier to make ends meet. As a consequence, Cadan could be called grumpy. Most men would consider a supermodel collapsing at their feet while dressed in the skimpiest pair of briefs ever made to be a sign of good fortune. Cadan just resents the fact that the young man is taking up space in his cow field.

These two men are from different worlds, but can they ever meet in the middle?

From bestselling author Lily Morton comes a novella about snarky models, misconceptions, and finding a home in the most unlikely of places.

“There’s no need for a hospital. It isn’t pneumonia yet, and I’ve given him something to make him sleep. I’ll also give you a prescription for some very strong antibiotics. He needs plenty of sleep and taking care of. He’s very run down.” He huffs and pats his big belly. “Damn good job I wasn’t a model. I’d have collapsed if I was as thin as that lad in there.”

I try hard to repress the image of Doctor Samuels modelling the very tiny underpants that the model called Malachi was wearing. “And surely he’ll get that care in a hospital,” I say with emphasis.

He shakes his head. “Cadan, I’m not sending him to hospital. He needs rest and then fresh air and feeding up.”

“Have you somehow got mixed up and forgotten that I run a farm and not Champneys health spa? I can’t have him here. I’ve got too much to do.”

A look of disappointment crosses his face, and I resist the impulse to shuffle from one leg to the other like I’m once again the child he used to see and give lollipops to. “Cadan, your mother would have a fit if she heard about your lack of hospitality. We look after our own in Cornwall.”

“But he isn’t our own,” I argue. “He’s somebody else’s own. I don’t know whose. Maybe Yves Saint Laurent.”

Wonderland Ever After, Book 2

Cheshire is determined to convince King Rei to give them a second chance at happily ever after. But what if the only way to do that is for the cat shifter to team up with his enemy?

I could sulk about King Rei choosing his duty to his kingdom over our relationship, but it’s way more fun to get payback by stealing his crowns. Of course, my favorite form of revenge is tempting my fated mate with what he could have if only he wasn’t so stubborn.

We’ve been playing our will-they-won’t-they game since he took the throne, but the stakes change when a rival prince arrives in Wonderland to try wooing away my beloved. As a master of mayhem and mischief, I’m prepared to chase off the unwanted interloper by any means necessary.

But I quickly discover that the little princeling isn’t what he seems. And what’s more ingenious than working with my enemy to catch Rei by surprise? After all, I said I’d do absolutely anything to win him back.

Will my efforts finally motivate Rei to let me claim him as my mate?

Excerpt:

Chapter 1: Cheshire Cat

“I can make us both feel better,” I offered King Rei.

“What would make me feel better is if you’d leave me alone.”

It was the same claim he always fell back on when he was losing the fight against his desire for me. “We both know that’s a lie, so why do you keep saying it like it’s true?”

For once, he didn’t argue with me. “You can’t be here.”

“Because Prince Renner arrives tomorrow for his marriage interview with you?” I narrowed my eyes in displeasure, rankling at Rei’s responsibilities as king forcing him into such an unsavory situation.

The regret on his face mollified me somewhat. “You know I didn’t want to agree to that, but I had no choice.”

“Wrong. You could choose to be with me instead,” I insisted. “Now that the magic has returned to Wonderland and the shifters have reemerged from their long hibernation, there’s no reason for you to keep rejecting me.”

“That doesn’t mean my people will accept you as my royal consort.” Rei sighed with old frustrations. “Your reputation as a troublemaker and hell-raiser—”

“If you were mine again, I’d be as docile as a dormouse,” I promised with a pleading gaze. “I wouldn’t need to cause any trouble when I’d finally have everything I want.”

It surprised me when he pulled me down into an embrace. “Please don’t look at me like that. It makes it too difficult to tell you no, Chess.”

Despite my displeasure, I delighted in the small show of affection. I nuzzled against him with a purr, even as his still-hard prick made me want to do more than waste time talking. “Give me the chance to charm your people and reassure their fears about me. I promise you they like me far more than you think they do. I don’t know why you believe the townsfolk aren’t fans.”

He hugged me tighter. “I wish it was that easy.”

“At least let me try before I lose you for good.” I rocked against his hardness, earning me a sharp breath. “Please, Rei.”

He guided me to look down at him. “I can’t get out of the marriage interview, but you have my word I won’t fall for Prince Renner.”

I pouted. “But everyone says he’s Prince Charming, a perfect blend of gorgeous, generous, and kind. He’s everything a king’s consort should be. It would be the height of foolishness not to choose him to stand by your side.”

Rei ran his fingers through my hair as I nuzzled against his palm. “When I became king, I vowed if I can’t be with you, then I’ll be with no one. I have no intention of breaking my word.”

His words should have made me feel better, but they didn’t. I hated that he stubbornly chose to be alone when he didn’t have to. “Why would your people want to be ruled by a King of Hearts who can’t love?”

“It’s not that I can’t love. It’s that I can’t love you openly. There’s a difference.”

“You beautiful, stupid, stubborn man.” I’d had enough of his words that tugged at my heartstrings and made us both sad. Instead of arguing, I gave in to the forbidden urge I had resisted since the eve of King Rei’s coronation. I kissed him with all the pent-up love that I had been forced to hold back for the past three years of his reign.

My life sucks until Bianco shows up. He’s a gorgeous albino who promises me a fun adventure while looking like a handsome prince from a fairy tale. I happily follow him down the rabbit hole in the hopes of getting up to some sexy shenanigans.

Imagine my shock when I discover he’s the famous White Rabbit from the books and one of the last shifters left in Wonderland! Even more surprising is finding out I’m a descendant of the original Alice, which means I’m the only person who can bring the missing magic back to their world.

That’s all well and good, but our incredible chemistry is highly distracting. It’s impossible to resist our intense attraction when I’m his fated mate, so why bother trying? But maybe there’s a way to have it all.

What if forming a mating bond with Bianco is the way to make all my dreams come true and save Wonderland at the same time?

Interspecies Alliances, Book 3

“He gets under my skin like a splinter. Like shrapnel.”

Leon Hess has just started a war. As the Resistance’s new leader, the only thing that matters to him is driving out the Klah’Eel forces that have occupied his home for decades. He will do whatever it takes, pay whatever cost, deploy whatever tool he must.

But his best tool, the one that makes everything possible, is also the man he can’t bear to look in the eye.

Sebastian is a torvar—a parasitic worm physically capable of body-hopping at will and morally capable of body-stealing with impunity. As the most hated and feared of all races, instead of living a quiet life hiding his nature, Sebastian chose to out himself and use his considerable skills to fight for the land he loves.

But no matter how hard he works himself or how often he risks his life for his country, for the Resistance, for Leon Hess, the man won’t even acknowledge him!

As the war rages around them, Leon and Sebastian will be forced to settle their differences, to form an unstoppable team, and to sacrifice more than they ever imagined.

The Alien Infiltrator is Book 3 in the Interspecies Alliances series and features pining, power dynamics, and plot. It takes place right after—like, right after—The Alien Bodyguard and contains cameos and spoilers for the Bodyguard’s couple (and its big plot twist).

Excerpt:

“THE SMOKE-SMELL IS NEVER GOING to come out of this room.”

Leon Hess rolled out his map of Southern Tava onto the huge, sturdy table in the center of the room. “Open a window, then.”

“Yeah, obviously, but that’s not going to be enough.” Joan picked her way through busted furniture and chunks of plaster and threw open all the windows she could reach—even the broken ones.

Leon ignored her and grabbed a few things to weigh down the curling edges of his map: half a chair leg, a couple hunks of rock, the used canister of a smoke grenade. Once the map was spread out beneath him, he surveyed it with his hands braced on the table. He pulled a red pencil from his pocket and tapped it a few times on the wooden surface. He took a deep breath, swallowed, stood up straight, pulled his shoulders back, and then tapped it a few more times on his palm.

“Did you cross it off yet?” Garrett strode into the room, and his exuberant voice with his still-there rural accent bounced off the bullet-pock-marked walls. He had a cut over his forehead that had been bandaged but needed to be redressed.

Leon shook his head. “Not yet. I was just about to.”

“It’s just a mark on a paper, Garrett.” Joan tsked but still came to watch as Leon again leaned over the old map—marked up with various colors of lines, Xs, circles, and words—and poised his pencil over the dot labeled Ralscoln.

Then Leon slowly and deliberately circled the city and wrote: Retaken.

Garrett let out a whoop, and even Leon allowed himself a small, tense smile. He stared at the words for a second, letting them sink in.

Joan put her hand on his shoulder. “We did it.”

Leon showed her a slightly less tense smile and nodded. “For now.”

Garrett clapped his hand down on Leon’s other shoulder and stared at the map with a grin. “Finally! Well, this was fun. I gotta go see about the barricade.”

“Garrett,” Leon called to him before he left. “See who of the soldiers are ready to move to the front. We can only give them another day of rest. This is just getting started.”

That sobered even Garrett. The younger man nodded crisply and disappeared out the ruined doorway.

Joan sighed and moved around to the other side of the table. They both trailed their eyes up to the northern edge of the map, and eventually, Leon pointed to the numerous small circles in green ink dotted throughout the continent.

“What’s the status of all the orbital and atmospheric guns?”

“We managed to take maybe eighty percent of them?” Joan pulled a pen from her pocket and started making small marks next to some of the circles. “So we don’t exactly have air superiority, but we can definitely blast any Klah’Eel ships out of the sky that get within Southern Tava air or orbit space.”

Leon raised his brows and nodded. “That’s better than I expected.”

“Yeah, I was pretty proud of us, actually.”

“And what about all the other cities?”

“No surprises there.” Joan pulled out another color and started marking the continent’s scattered small cities and towns. They were numerous but minor—Ralscoln far outstripped them all in size. “The Klah’Eel in each one with a Resistance cell will be too busy fighting our people to help out the main force. And any of the cities without a Resistance cell never had enough Klah’Eel to be a problem anyway.”

Leon watched her mark which cities had the most fighting and which were already primarily held by them or the Klah’Eel. The people in the cities outside of the main thrust of the war would simply have to hang on and hope for the end of it. But Leon knew from experience that hanging on was never simple.

Leon turned his attention to the line of cities along Southern Tava’s northern border. “Tell me about the cities at the front.”

Joan tapped her finger over Yol, Kaston, and Loral.

“Yol doesn’t have enough food stockpiled to defend against a siege—some of it got ruined when a ship’s water tank leaked,” she said. “And Loral doesn’t have enough ships to support an evacuation if we lose it.”

Leon nodded and knocked a knuckle against the table’s wood as he leaned over his map. He glanced up at Joan when she didn’t continue. “And what about Kaston?”

Joan made a face. “There’s just…some interesting intel coming out of Kaston.”

Leon straightened. “What sort of interesting intel, Joan?”

“Some of the inventory numbers don’t line up.” She crossed her arms and pursed her lips. “Some of the operations have been randomly foiled by a stray patrol. Things like that.”

Leon’s jaw clenched. “Traitor.”

“No evidence.”

“But you have a bad feeling.”

Joan nodded. “I do. I want to send Sebastian.”

Leon’s heart jumped, and a sensation skittered over his skin as though his entire body had been jolted by electricity just by the sound of that name. He shoved the excitement out of the way and internally scowled at his reaction. “Alright. When he gets back. What else do you have for me?”

“That’s it for now. I need to go see how my agents are settling in. We found the security room, so we’ll set up base there.”

“Good. I’ll be in the barracks.”

Joan left, and Leon took another few moments to stare down at the map and the red mark he had just made over Ralscoln. He shouldn’t have been the one to make that mark or to order their black flag hoisted over this building. He shouldn’t have been the one to claim the capital of Southern Tava for the Resistance.

It should have been the former owner of this map. It should have been Farlon.

And it should be Farlon that would stand on that balcony two doors down that looked out over the courtyard and announce their victory over the invaders…once it finally came.

Leon swallowed around the lump in his throat. But it hadn’t been, and it wouldn’t be, and it all fell on Leon now. And he was doing it.

He pulled his shoulders back and strode out of their new war room and into the grand hallway. The capitol building of Ralscoln, and indeed the entire city, was grand for what had once been a largely forgotten frontier city of the Human species state. It spoke to the pride of its inhabitants. Their pride in their sovereignty, and their ability, and their independence.

It had survived the Klah’Eel invasion and occupation, largely intact, and remained a symbol of the people who had been here before and were still here.

And it would survive the Resistance taking it back.

Leon surveyed it as he walked to the office wing they had converted into a barracks. The damage was cosmetic, not structural. As soon as they repelled the Klah’Eel’s attempts to retake the continent and established their independence on the intergalactic stage, Leon would make sure they poured resources into reestablishing this symbol.

Leon was ruminating on that day and what it would take to get there as he crossed the courtyard of the U-shaped building when he caught sight of a figure by the barricade entrance. He stopped short, as though a string attached to his chest had pulled taut at the sight of that figure and prevented him from going anywhere but toward it.

The physical body didn’t draw him in—Leon found the sight of the klah’eel former governor of Southern Tava repellent—but the way it moved. Leon would recognize that grace, that cocked hip, those rapidly moving hands, and that toss of the chin anywhere. They dragged him in like a moth to a flame.

The Alien Emissary is the prologue novella that kicks off Interspecies Alliances! Every book in the series features its own couple with a galaxy-spanning plot arc linking them altogether. Best read in order!

Book 2: The Alien Bodyguard

The_Alien_Bodyguard_Final

Scarred lips resting on polished tusks…horned eyebrows over electric orange eyes… He was breathtaking.

Oliver Turner has been given one last chance to regain his rightful position by his father’s side running the family corporation, but he can’t keep his eyes off his klah’eel bodyguard. Oliver wants the man with an intensity that both scares and shocks him, and he’s terrified of letting the desire pass him by after being so afraid for so long that he’d never desire a man again. But Oliver has spent his whole life chasing the love and approval of his father, and he can’t let that slip through his fingers when he’s so close.

Captain Mal’ik can’t believe that the yearning, longing scent pouring from the beautiful human man he’s been assigned to protect is for him. Mal’ik has been a soldier for decades and bears the proof of it in his mangled face and metal arm, surely the prissy, brilliant young man can’t want him of all people. And yet, the way Oliver Turner looks at Mal’ik makes him feel like he could be so much more than just the scarred tool of an empire.

As Oliver and Mal’ik wrestle with their surprising and unfamiliar feelings, the tense political situation surrounding them explodes into chaos. They will both be forced to make choices they never thought they’d make. Is it even possible for them to choose each other?

The Alien Bodyguard is a steamy M/M romance with an HEA, set directly after the events of The Alien Emissary. Reading Emissary isn’t required but it is highly encouraged, as Bodyguard does contain spoilers for Emissary, and includes all of Emissary’s main characters.

Rescued Ebook

Sanctuary, Book 1

Running away is only the first step. Moving on is the hardest.

When Archer Navarro escapes his emotionally abusive boyfriend in the middle of the night, he hopes to step into a better life.

A turn of bad luck ends Archer’s flights as soon as it starts, but the kindness of strangers brings him to an LGBT shelter.

And it brings him to Brooklyn. He’s the moody, drop-dead gorgeous tenant in the apartment next door, and he soon becomes the source of Archer’s hope.

Their chemistry is instant. It’s hot enough to melt the snow that’s about to bury them. Brooklyn makes Archer believe there still might be some love in him left to give.

If only the past wasn’t getting in the way. If only Archer could let those around him help.

The road of trials tests these men’s will to hold onto one another.

Tensions with his estranged family and a lifetime of scars threaten to take Archer back to where it all started. Back to the house where he was a little more than a prisoner.

And when the future of both their lives depends on it, Archer and Brooklyn need to answer it once and for all: can broken hearts ever beat the same again?

And can love ever be enough?

Rescued is the first book in the Sanctuary series, but it’s a complete standalone with no cheating or cliffhangers and with a guaranteed happily ever after. This book deals with darker themes of abuse and, while it’s generally sweet, it’s not for everyone. Excerpt:

Archer shivered at the thought of a warm bed and hot soup as the northern wind rolled over the courtyard, making the bare tree branches tremble. He followed Marion up the concrete stairs to the hallway. It was roofed, but totally open to the courtyard. Some doors had plastic chairs and metal tables in front and all rooms had windows. The space between the doors was quite big, which probably meant several people occupied each room.

Marion looked at the door frame where a small metal plate had 221 inscribed on it. “Your apartment, Archer.”

Just as Archer stopped at the door and was about to push the key into the lock, the 220 door flew open.

In an instant, Archer felt like someone had gut punched him and he was about to lose his balance. The temperature of his body rose by a few degrees immediately and he was dead certain his face was turning red. The man who had opened the door looked like he was around thirty years old with a close-cropped black beard and coarse, pitch black hair. He wore a pair of house slippers and light gray sweatpants. And nothing else at all. His torso was sculpted, waist narrow and chest wide, with a layer of fine, short hair sprinkled over his tanned skin. He had curved eyebrows, as if he was confused about something, and parted red lips like he was about to ask a question. Archer’s senses dulled when he saw the man and his heartbeat flooded his eardrums.

“Put something on, Brooklyn. You’re going to freeze,” Marion said firmly, but with the same air of kindness in her voice.

“They’re just tits, Marion,” Brooklyn said.

Marion bit back a laugh. “Nobody wants to look at your tits.”

One corner of the young man’s lips ticked up like he could read Archer’s mind even though he hadn’t looked at Archer at all. But the thought in Archer’s head was loud and clear: I don’t mind looking.
